New York City Hall is located at the center of City Hall Park in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The building is the oldest city hall in the United States that still houses its original governmental functions, including the office of the Major of New York City and chambers of New York City Council. Constructed from 1803 to 1812, the building is a National Historic Landmark. Both its exterior and interior are designated New York City landmarks.

In 2008, work began on a restoration of the building. As the general contractor of the $53 million Phase II renovation, we restored and upgraded the LEED Silver building while the offices remained open and operational.

The project received on May 6 the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award for outstanding restoration of historic buildings. The award, referred to as “Preservation Oscar”, is the highest honor for excellence in preservation from the New York Landmarks Conservancy, a leader in preserving, restoring and reusing NYC’s architectural legacy for over 40 years.
